Onwards

This illustration is part of a little 'badge' series I'm currently doing. I have a couple more to share over the coming weeks but if you like them I could definitely extend this series and keep it going throughout the year. Let me know! I think they would look cool as embroidered badges or something, or maybe metal pins.

Mishka

Here is last week's Colour Collective illustration. The chosen colour was 'Deep Lilac' which is lovely but I struggled to decide what to do with it. In the end, I went for a simple polar bear's face. She's called Mishka!

Star Kitten Cadet

Dala Unicorn

Following on from the Dala horses I made last year, I decided to jazz up the idea a little and ended up creating a Dala unicorn! I think Tara asked for a unicorn a little while ago so I hope this is okay!

Follow Your Stars

This is the illustration I made for last week's Colour Collective! The chosen colour was 'Viridian' which was perfect for the forest scene I wanted to create. I imagine this curious deer is quite happy to trek through the landscape on her own, encountering lots of magical plants and flowers.

1. A perennial aromatic Eurasian herb (Artemisia absinthium) in the composite family, naturalised in North America having pinnatifid, silvery, silky leaves and numerous nodding flower heads. Also called wormwood. 

2. A green, liqueur having a bitter anise or liquorice flavour and a high alcohol content, prepared from absinthe and other herbs, prohibited in many countries when containing thujone because of its alleged toxicity.
