Summer Giveaway Time!

As promised in my last post, I'm hosting a little giveaway for you all! It's just a way for me to say thank you for all of your support and encouragement, so I hope you guys will enter.  

The Prize

In the past I have given away items and paintings, but this time I am giving away a custom digital illustration. It can be of absolutely anything you would like! For example, you might want a cute portrait you can use on your blogs/business cards or how about a header design? Anything you can think of, I will illustrate it for you.

Nighteyes

Firstly, I have to apologise for a huge gap between posts - I hope you guys don't mind too much! I haven't been feeling super inspired lately, but I'm trying to push through that now and create some new work. I've also been sending some submissions to a few independent magazines so I really hope that I get some good news from them. Onto the illustration, this is inspired by one of the characters from Robin Hobb's 'Assassin's Apprentice' trilogy which I finished a little while ago, and I loved everything about it. If you are a fan of fantasy books, then I would definitely recommend them. The protagonist has this amazing wolf companion who he can share thoughts with, and he travels around with him on various adventures - must be awesome to have such a loyal friend! 

I really love making my illustrations colourful lately too, and it's been fun to practice drawing animals because it's something I haven't really done in the past. 

I was also thinking that I might host a little giveaway soon, to win a custom illustration of anything you want! Would anyone be interested in that? I'd be happy for all of you to enter, even if I've already illustrated you in the past!

School Holiday's

Well, it is definitely Summer now despite some random weather fluctuations! The sun is shining here today and it's been pretty humid lately which is annoying but hopefully that will improve soon. I started sketching this out the other week and finished it yesterday. It was actually inspired by some of the dresses from The Whitepepper lookbook, they are all pretty simple but lovely and I adore the nautical theme they have going on. I can imagine them being quite timeless. Because of the nautical dresses, I thought I would place these two girls at the seaside!

No, this isn't a sponsored post - I just really enjoy homeware lately (that does make me sound quite old!). I spied these bargains a couple of days ago, and I love the bright colour scheme. I think all of these pieces would be perfect for refreshing your home and making it more summery. The best part is they are all very affordable!
