That 70's Show

I've been really keen on all of the 70's inspired fashion that I keep seeing all over the place. I love the colours and shapes - the floral patterns are pretty great too! I'd like to do a couple more of these, so if you have any designer recommendations please leave me a comment. What do you think of the 70's/boho trend?

Primary Colours

I decided to make an illustration inspired by primary colours as I realised that I've never been drawn to using them (I'm not too sure that I even like them!). I spotted the image below on Twitter, which is actually what got me thinking about them in the first place.

This is Jean-Charles de Castelbajac's limited edition heart-shaped stamp for the french postal service, which I think is so lovely! I'd be happy to receive this on a letter. You can read more about it here if you'd like. 

What do you think about primary colours? They can be a little garish, but I think JC's sparing use of them actually looks amazing on this stamp.

Postcards from Azeroth: Zangarmarsh

I'm pretty certain I've mentioned my fondness for World of Warcraft on here a couple of times in the past, and although I'm not currently playing (I haven't even tried the new expansion yet!) I still get nostalgic about the game. I've decided to start yet another little series to run alongside my calendars and spirit animals entitled 'Postcards from Azeroth'. The idea is to produce an illustrated postcard for every single WoW zone and major city, there's really quite a few so I imagine it will take a fair while! Even if you don't know too much about WoW or aren't too keen, I think a lot of the zones are really pretty so you might still enjoy these illustrations - I hope so anyway!

Garden Birds at Direct Blinds!

Just before Christmas I was very fortunate to be chosen as the winner of Direct Blinds 'Next Banksy' competition! I really didn't expect to win so it was a lovely surprise. My designs are now available for purchase in both sky and slate colourways - I love the little mock-ups on the Direct Blinds website! Would you be happy to have these designs in your home?
