Last week's Colour Collective! The chosen colour was 'Serenity' which is one of Pantone's colours of the year. I chose to illustrate Madame Leota (again) from Disney's Haunted Mansion ride.
Folklore stories tell of a giant, coal-black dog which roams throughout the wilds. In certain stories the dog is a malevolent apparition, a portent of death, in others though, the dog is said to behave benevolently.
This illustration is based on the French silent film also known as 'A Trip to the Moon'. But if you're anything like me, then the imagery will be recognisable from The Smashing Pumpkin's song/video 'Tonight, Tonight' which is one of my favourite music videos of all time! Let me know your favourites too!
Here is last week's Colour Collective illustration. The chosen colour was 'Pale Geranium Lake' (I think, it's a weird one!). I thought it would be perfect for a fox running through the wild.
I made this jumping bunny to go along with the leaping fox I made for last week's Colour Collective (I'll post him on my blog this Friday!). I love bunnies and this one is a little galaxy explorer.
We've just finished watching the second season of Agent Carter and I seriously hope there will be a third! I really enjoyed the change of location from New York to California.
Here is last week's Colour Collective piece. The chosen colour was 'Dandelion' which is the bright yellow shade. I actually found it a little tricky to work with but there will always be weeks like that! Some people said that the bees reminded them of Spring, which was fairly unintentional on my part, but I suppose they do!
Here is last week's Colour Collective. The chosen colour was 'Moss' which is so vibrant that I decided to work with a darker palette for the rest of the illustration. I love how this cub jumps!
