A Blogger For Every Month: Zoe LDN

One of my all time favourites this month - Zoe! I've drawn her lots of times before but I just love her and I think her blog is better than ever lately. You can tell that she really works hard to produce unique content so her blog stands out from the crowd. I think she really deserves all of her success, so if you haven't read her blog before, take a peek here

Afternoon Tea Pattern

Just a cute afternoon tea pattern! I don't ever recall having a proper afternoon tea, I can't call myself a true blogger! I've added some of the cakes and pastries that I love to this pattern, including chocolate eclairs and victoria sponge cake. What do you guys think, and do you have a favourite sweet treat?

Alsatian Puppy

I decided to draw a puppy, as I pretty much always draw kittens and rabbits - puppies need some attention too! I'm actually quite scared of dogs in real life as an Alsatian chased me when I was little, but I can still appreciate how cute they are! Anyway, if you like this one, I'll try and draw a couple more, or you can even commission me to draw your pet if you'd like!

Travel Posters: Michigan

Well, it's taken me a little time to get this poster finished but here it is! I found this gorgeous photo of Mackinac Island whilst I was browsing Pinterest and thought it would make an interesting illustration as the colours were all lovely and vivid, and sometimes it's nice to take a break from pastels! I'm really enjoying creating these posters as it's a nice break from the pieces I typically work on - I hope you like them too! I'd love some more suggestions of places I can draw in the future if you enjoy seeing them. I think Tara suggested that I illustrate some of the Scandinavian countries so I think I'll do that next.

Charity Illustrations

After collaborating with Shannon on her new blog illustrations, she asked if I'd be willing to help her out with a charity project she is currently working on. I said of course, and here are the results!

Shannon is the creator of Family Fun Day Events, a charitable organisation who host a whole range of activities and events, this year Shannon has planned an 80's themed evening to raise money for Cancer Research UK, The Autism Trust and Peach! She asked me to create a 'Back to the 80's' poster to promote the evening so I tried to go all out and design a poster that was eye catching and in keeping with the 80's theme! I even designed a super 80's pattern (nostalgia!). Shannon also asked if I'd design a little logo that she could use for business cards etc, so I tried to create an illustration that was cute and timeless - I really love the little donkey the most!

If you want to find out more about Family Fun Day Events, you can check out their blog or follow them on Twitter

I'd love to know what you think of these illustrations!

A Blogger for Every Month: Josie's Journal

I'm a few days late with this (again!). I'm just rubbish at keeping up with them and I've been super busy lately. Anyway, May's blogger is the amazing Josie from Josie's Journal! I've been following Josie's blog for ages and I think she's such a lovely and inspiring person. If you haven't chanced upon her blog yet, you're missing out on her lovely outfit posts and beauty reviews, plus she's just started to sell handmade greetings cards on her new Etsy store. Josie also blogs about Cystic Fibrosis and how it affects her on a day to day basis and she allows other people to share their stories via guest posts which have all been extremely enlightening to read. I just think she's great basically! I'll leave her various links below so you can say hello!
